Big Ribbon Mic VS Tiny M-Audio Mic
Hi again,
Another microphone review from Simon again....
Jason from Rainbow Bridge kindly lent BCUC another microphone to test out this one is;
Another NADY one this time its a Ribbon type of microphone and the model is: RSM-2.
Chris took a picture of it on his mobile it looks like this when its all setup:

As you can see from the image above this microphone is a beast! - the image doesnt really do it justice the general size of this thing sets the standard alone hehe.
Another cheeky question is "Does size really matter?" - well do you know what, some people might despute this but I would say it does not....
The Ribbon Mic I used here was just as good as the large diaphragm one but the large diaphragm one was smaller in size.
The smaller one will give you good quality dont get me wrong but to be honest if I had the £350 - £400 I would shell out for this puppy, its Big! and it gets the job done nicely!
Click here to listen to the podcast - lol - done by me and pete. (I'm on the big and expensive mic and petes on a cheepy m-audio mic ;).

Hello chaps!
Loving the podcast, works a treat.
Couple things though, how about having the audio as an mp3 ready to stream? I think this would really be a "podcast" technically.
Also having the content with the correct mp3 tag will create the correct "ping" content for rss readers.
If hosting is an issue simply upload to Auxmix.com, I have bandwidth.
Also the image might be better as a smaller "thumb" which opens into a new window full size?
Great 1st podcast, loving that.
keep it up!

Hi Simon!
Chris bet me to it! resize the dam image!
Regarding uploading it somewhere i could more than likely shove it on magicbug.co.uk or auxmix.com although i've not gotten round it asking chris for the ftp info.. perhaps you could email me that chris.
Right off to carry on working on the site!

If you are created the blog posts with the blogger software interface (I think that is the only way) you'll notice there are some upload icons, the image one will actually resize an image and create a thumb for you. I think you can also upload an mp3 with one of the icons too. Check that out.
