Recording Techniques 2 Assignment 2 - 2007
Create a podcast of between 15 and 20 minutes which has at least 2 members discussing a recent recording you have been engaged with.
The podcast should typically be a discussion on the techniques you have employed and why you chose those particular techniques, and if they were successful or not.
You might for example play a small segment of the drums before compression and/or other processing in isolation, and then play the same piece after processing by means of comparison.
Your final audio file must be an mp3 of 256kps Stereo with the file name of your student ids separated with a hyphen. xxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxx.mp3 for example.
You will upload the mp3 to a dedicated hosting provider libsyn.com (I will provide the access details privately). You will then create a blog post entry on http://auxmix.com which contains your show notes along with the enclosure tag for the podcast.
Within the libsyn.com system you will find areas to add the appropriate “tags” for each audio file and also the all important enclosure tag which is used by rss syndication applications, along with show art.
You may work in groups of no more than three, but at least 2.
Grades will be awarded on:
• the accuracy of information recorded
• quality of recorded voices
• interesting show art
• use of original sound idents to help make the content exciting and interesting
• quality and levels of overall podcast
• neatly presented blog post and show notes concerning the content
Comments below are very welcome and encouraged.

Looks interesting!
When is the deadline?
We need more equipment at High Wycombe campus.
The interview would sound more fluent if three microphones were set up. However we don't have enough microphones for that. (Not enough quality microphones).
I might speak to Antony and see if I can negotiate Wellesbourne loaning High Wycombe some microphones or for some studio time allocation.
This will depend on the deadline for the course work.
P-P-P-P-P-P-POD-CAST-ING!!!!
