Sound for animation
Sam Assignment 20620197 & 20635985
First of all we searched for meaningful tracks which would fit in with the theme of this animation. We decided that dynamically we could build the movies emotion and meaning with specific SFX and music to portray Sam’s feelings. After analysing many different tracks we found two ‘Oasis’ tracks, which were lyrically suitable and also suited the structure of the animation. The lyrics were suitable as at the start of the piece the first track portrays Sam’s feelings with not enjoying the city he lives in and what he does. The second track we picked helped lift up the emotion as it shows the audience that Sam is choosing to be what he wants to be and this is what the song portrays. For SFX we found a website called www.findsounds.com , this site enabled us to search for appropriate sounds for our assignment using its search engine to search through its database. The program in which we used to piece the audio with the animation was called ‘Cool Edit Pro’ which helped us place our sound collection precisely.
